Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026. This policy explains how Whistling Songs for Birds handles local files, recordings, microphone access, and embedded resources.
Overview
Whistling Songs for Birds is a browser-based bird whistle training website. The site is designed for cockatiel, parrot, budgie, and parakeet owners who want to play training songs, upload local whistle audio, record short whistle clips, and customize the bird companion.
Local Audio and Bird Images
Uploaded whistle audio, recorded whistle audio, and uploaded bird images are stored only in your current browser using IndexedDB. They are not uploaded to our server, cloud storage, or a user account. Clearing browser data may delete these local files.
Microphone Access
The recorder asks for microphone permission only when you choose to record a whistle. If you deny permission, recording will not start. The recording stays in your browser unless you choose to delete it or clear browser data.
Built-In Audio and YouTube Resources
Built-in whistle songs are served as website assets. YouTube training resources are linked or embedded through YouTube's official player. This site does not download, extract, or rehost YouTube audio or video.
Analytics and Third Parties
This v1.0 build does not require an account, payment, backend database, or cloud media storage. If analytics or additional third-party tools are added later, this policy should be updated before those tools go live.
